AGUA AGUA AGUA ๐๐ง๐ฟ
Week 46
This week I sweat a lot; ran away from a few drunk men; spent a lot of time on a bus; walked up a lot of mountains; and felt super fulfilled in the work. Overall, stellar semana in the Lord's vineyard.
On Sunday, we had the miracle to be part of 3 baptisms! Our friends Hugo, Edwin and Alan all made covenants with God. It was a super special experience to help them get to that point. Even cooler, Alan (16 year old) was baptized by his best friend who introduced him to the church. It’s awesome to see the youth take action in the work and bring their friends along with them! Great service, great people, a great spirit was felt and all thanks to a great God that makes it all possible. ๐
Went to leadership conference in Oaxaca and got to see alllll my favorites: my trainer, my trainee and my trainee's trainee. My missionary family tree is growing and it's so fun to see them every once in a while. CLM was also lit, got to counsel together to figure ways to improve as a mission which is always spiritually edifying.
Lots and lots and lots of exchanges and divisions all the time!!! It's funny bringing the other hermanas to our area because the don't realize how steep it is. They end up gassed by the end every time. But hey, we gotta put respect on San Blas's name somehow ๐
Other things:
- we have no money. End of the month is always tough but mensualidad always pulls through ๐ค๐ค
- almost caught an iguana in the church today. There were like 3 just chillin out when we showed up looking like lunch ๐
- broke someone's meth pipe (it was on purpose) ๐จ
- transfers are next week! Offical prediction is that Hermana Evia and I both stay here for her last transfer, but we'll see what happens. Cambios are always a surprise.
Dont have much time for a spiritual thought, but one of my all time favorite scriptures is D&C 112:14
"Arise and gird up your loins, take up your cross, follow me, and feed my sheep"
Doesn't get much simpler than that. Sometimes it's tough, but all he asks is that we follow Him and feed His sheep, so do it!
Out hunting iguana,
Hermana Stephenson
