bogged ๐⛈️
Week 52
This week felt like when you get a bad roll in Shrek Superparty and get sent to the bog. Super niche reference that very few will get, but it's the best way to describe it.
In part, the boggy-ness was due to the insane downpours that started this week. The rainy season is officially back, and in little pueblito San Blas that means a lot of mud and flooded streets and sloshing around! Woke up a about 3am last night to some pretty legit thunder and the realization that the clothes we had washed the night before we hanging outside and getting soaked. Took a little adventure with my chanclas and umbrella and safe to say no clothing items were lost ๐ช๐ผ⛈️
I was also feeling pretty bogged between differences with my comp, friends deciding they don't want to meet with us anymore, and various situations with the other hermanas in our zone. But, luckily God always knows our needs and sent me miracles and motivation the last few days!
- zone conference and interviews were a godsend and just what I needed! I LOVE MY MISSION PRESIDENT! I will never be able to say it enough.

- exchanges with hermana cruz were also suuuuuper awesome
-aaaaaand we got gifted the most giant mangos ever. Never gonna get tired of eating mangos here. They are going out of season and it's so sad ๐ฅฒ
Had some disappointing moments when some of the members of the family we've been working with all transfer decided they didn't want to be baptized this Sunday which was a heartbreaker. Thankfully two of them are still on track so please keep Sharishit and Nicol in your thoughts and prayers this week and that their negative Nelly abuela doesn't ruin everything ๐
I spent a lot of my study time this week in 3 Nephi studying about the teachings of the Savior in the Americas. In chapter 17, Christ institutes the Sacrament and gives it unto the people. A phrase that is repeated often in the chapter is "and they were filled." Even thought the Sacrament is only a little bit of bread and water, it can spiritually fill us as we renew and put our covenants with God as first priority every week and if we are intentional about it. I'm so grateful for the Sacrament, and invite you to be a bit more intentional about it this week!!
Transfers are next week!!! Let's see where the wind takes me ๐ฌ
