Waldo visits the Aztecs

Week 57

Where’s Waldo? Can you find him? 

WOW this week flew by. I don't remember a whole lot so it's gonna be a quick one with mostly pictures hahaha

For starters, today for pday we visited some more ruins! (classic mexico missionary pday move) They were pretty cool. We had a fun time exploring with the Hermanas in our zone even tho the LZs tried to shut us down 😎

WHAT ELSE HAPPENED:

- exchanges LITERALLY all week. 3 intercambios per week is not for the faint of heart and I only saw my comp like 2 days. It was so sad 🫠 but I got to know more Hermanas and they were all from different countries! I am expanding my international contacts country by country, and now we can add Colombia, Brazil and Panama to the list 🇧🇷🇨🇴🇵🇦

- our blind friend José decided to be baptized this coming Sunday! I can't fully describe how special it has been to be part of his journey. He is a sweet man with a sincere desire to know God. The rest of his family are already members and have been fasting and praying for years for him to accept the gospel. The time has finally come! We're stoked about it. 

- had McDonalds for lunch one day 🤑 blessings of being in the city for real

- Oaxaca is beautiful 

As we've been teaching José, we've relied a lot more on audible ways to teach the gospel and not so much visual. We've made it a habit to sing a hymn to him everytime we visit. One night we sang "Abide with me tis eventide" and the Spirit was SO POWERFUL. 

"Abide with me; ’tis eventide. 

The day is past and gone;

The shadows of the evening fall; 

The night is coming on. 

Within my heart a welcome guest, Within my home abide.

O Savior, stay this night with me; Behold, ’tis eventide. 

O Savior, stay this night with me; Behold, ’tis eventide."

It wasn't long after that he told us he was "listo para irse al agua" in his own words haha. I know that the Savior is aware of everyone of us and that his timing is perfect! He is always willing to abide with us if we only ask 🫶🏼
